World Kindness Day is celebrated on November 13th. “The purpose of World Kindness Day is to look beyond ourselves, beyond the boundaries of our country, beyond our culture, our race, our religion; and realise we are citizens of the world.” – Australian Kindness Movement.
World Kindness Day was first introduced in 1998 by the World Kindness Movement and is observed in many countries around the world.
In celebration of World Kindness Day 2013, Life Vest Inside – a non-profit organization dedicated to spreading kindness, helping people recognize their potential, and building self-esteem, organized the DANCE FOR KINDNESS event for the second time. Last year this unique global initiative promoting the importance of kindness prompted thousands of people from 15 countries to take part in Life Vest Inside’s Worldwide Dance for Kindness 2012.
We’re happy to report that Bulgaria was among the over 25 participating countries in this year’s event – the 2nd Annual Worldwide DANCE FOR KINDNESS.
Bulgaria: Varna – LVI Dance for Kindness 2013 took place on November 9th, bringing together hundreds of dancing enthusiasts, children and supporters, as Varna became part of the dance-for-kindness craze sweeping the world in celebration of World Kindness Day 2013.

Life Vest Inside’s Dance for Kindness Freeze & Flash Mob 2013 is a two-part event beginning with a 3-minute Freeze Mob where all participants freeze in different positions picturing various kindness moments/gestures. Immediately after the Freeze Mob begins, the music starts and then segues into the FlashMob dance – also lasting about 3 minutes.
All participants receive Acts of Kindness (AOK) cards created by Life Vest Inside, each card with its own individualized act. The purpose of the cards is to empower people to recognize that the value of one small act of kindness is greater than they can imagine. Once you receive the card, it prompts you to perform the act and pass the card to someone else to keep the kindness going!
To sum it all up, Bulgaria: Varna – LVI Dance for Kindness 2013 was a truly exciting, inspiring and fun event and we’re happy to have had the chance to participate! 🙂
